Kennedy’s Key is a family business that provides locksmith services emergency and non-emergency 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Our story begins with Kennedy Curiel, of which our company is the namesake. He had spent several years working in the technical department of the Dutch Royal Shell when it was operating in Curaçao. He eventually left this position and entered the local police force, where he worked as a law enforcement agent for 27 years. Towards the latter stages of his career as a police officer, Kennedy began to feel dissatisfied with this profession. He namely started gaining more and more interest in having a trade in which he could work with his hands and be more technical again.

This drew him to several courses on the production and development of security products in the United States, England, Germany, and the Netherlands. His son Angelo — who by then was at an adult age and had also developed an interest in this line of work — joined him on these trips to gain specialized knowledge of this industry. Kennedy became an expert in the development of safes while Angelo became an authority in the production of quality keys and locks. This following the completion of his studies in Master Keying at an institution in Boston, Massachusetts. Both Kennedy and Angelo have subsequently followed supplementary courses in Master Keying at institutions in Atlanta, California, and New York. 

Kennedy’s Key Lock & Safe Services opened its first office in 1985 and we have since expanded to offices in Saliña (opened in 2000) and Santa Maria (opened in 2006). Our operations currently include suppliers from all over the world in countries such as China, Turkey, and several European nations. There is also demand for our products overseas in countries such as Puerto Rico and Australia, which we fulfill through our close ties with companies in England, the Netherlands, and Mexico.
